DESCRIPTION:*Abstract:* From the Great Fire to the Blitz\, the City of Lon
 don has survived and rebuilt itself\, but how will today’s challenges im
 pact on it and how will the City respond? John Robertson Architects’ inv
 estigations into how the City has responded over the centuries to changes 
 in how we live and work has inspired a vision for a future City of London\
 ; a de-carbonised\, pedestrian-focused but largely preserved City core wit
 h new types and mixes of activities and improved connections to neighbouri
 ng areas. John Robertson has worked in the City for more than 20 years and
  will present his vision of London’s future.\n\n*Biography:* John Robert
 son founded John Robertson Architects in 1993 and has overseen the growth 
 of the company into an AJ100 practice with an extensive list of high profi
 le clients. Having dedicated the last 20 years to designing for central Lo
 ndon\, John has developed particular expertise in and understanding of the
  refurbishment and redevelopment of its buildings and has been responsible
  for over 100\,000 sqm of office buildings in the City of London. John is 
 an active member of the British Council for Offices and a member of the Ci
 ty Architecture Forum.
