DESCRIPTION: The global economy is divided and disconnected\, but it is st
 ill growing. Gerard will put current developments in the global economy in
  context\, explained not just by the legacy of debt and the financial cris
 is in the west\, but also by a shift in the balance of economic and financ
 ial power to the east. \n This shift has a long way to go\, will not be sm
 ooth and will have widespread implications. \n Gerard will explore his res
 earch into this shift in the balance of power and where it is leading.
