DESCRIPTION:Prof. Dr. Johannes Krause established the ancient DNA research
group at the University of Tubingen in 2010. He applies cutting-edge tech
niques of high throughput DNA sequencing and targeted DNA enrichment to an
alyse fossil DNA from human remains. \nIn this talk\, Johannes will presen
t his genome-wide analysis of historical pathogens and discuss the insight
s into the evolution of infectious disease\, which help us to identify cau
sative agents of major human pandemics.\n\nThis talk is open to everyone.
