DESCRIPTION:CUEN is proud to invite you all to our next evening seminar on
  nuclear power in the UK!\n\n*Dr. Simon Taylor* (Director of the Master of
  Finance Programme) and *Dr. Eugene Shwageraus* (Director of the Nuclear E
 nergy MPhil Course)\, both University of Cambridge\, will give *insights i
 nto the history\, policy and technology of nuclear power in the UK*. In pa
 rticular\, we will discuss the recent case of Hinkley Point.\n\nDr. Taylor
  is a University Lecturer in Finance and the Director of the Cambridge Mas
 ter of Finance degree. He did an MPhil in Economics at the University of O
 xford and a PhD at the London School of Economics. After two years as a Fe
 llow in Economics at St. Catharine’s College\, Cambridge\, Simon spent n
 ine years as an equities analyst at a number of investment banks\, includi
 ng Robert Fleming\, BZW\, JPMorgan and Citigroup\, where he was led resear
 ch teams covering the European and global utilities sectors\, including a 
 key role in the privatization of the nuclear company British Energy in 199
 6. His research interests include: the financing of energy infrastructure\
 , including nuclear power\; and methods of valuation used by equity resear
 ch analysts. He is a Research Associate of the Energy Policy Research Grou
 p at Cambridge University. His book on the financial crisis in the UK nucl
 ear power industry was published in 2007 and he is planning to update that
  history to the present in a new book in the next year.\n\nDr. Eugene Shwa
 geraus earned his BSc and MSc degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Ben-Guri
 on University of the Negev in Israel and Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from
  MIT. He joined the faculty of the Nuclear Engineering Department at Ben-G
 urion University in 2003. Between 2009 and 2011 he served as a Visiting As
 sociate Professor in the Department of Nuclear Science and Engineering at 
 MIT\, where he participated in and was a contributing author to the interd
 isciplinary study on the Future of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle. After his retur
 n to Ben-Gurion University in 2011\, he served as the Head of the Nuclear 
 Engineering Department and was appointed Associate Professor in 2012. In S
 eptember 2013\, he assumed the role of MPhil Course Director and was appoi
 nted University Senior Lecturer at the University of Cambridge in the UK. 
 His research focus areas are modeling methods and design of advanced nucle
 ar reactors as well as optimization of nuclear fuel cycles.\n\nWe are look
