DESCRIPTION:Will the conservative movement in America rule again or has it
  seen its best days?  What is the conservative movement today—is it driv
 en by social issues\, laissez-faire capitalism or foreign policy considera
 tions?  How do libertarians and the Tea Party fit into the movement?  How 
 true is its characterization in the press as a movement of gun-toting\, se
 xist\, homophobic and racist old white men?  Professor Factor will explain
  the dynamics of modern conservative circus and will address whether its f
 uture is as a big tent or as a freakshow on the American political stage. 
  His new book on the conservative intellectual tradition in America\, Big 
 Tent\, is forthcoming from HarperCollins on April 8th.\n\n\nBio:\n\nMallor
 y Factor will be a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Politics and Inter
 national Studies at the University of Cambridge for the 2014-15 academic y
 ear and also serves as Senior Visiting Mellon Fellow in the Department of 
 History at the University of Cambridge in 2014.  Professor Factor is the J
 ohn C. West Professor of International Politics and American Government at
  The Citadel\, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is a FO
 X News contributor.  He is also senior fellow at the Senate Foreign Relati
 ons Committee and was previously senior fellow to the House Republican Pol
