  Q&A. \n\nAmbassador Matthew Gould has been British Ambassador to Israel s
 ince September 2010. Prior to that\, he served as Principal Private Secret
 ary to the Foreign Secretary for three years following a stint as private 
 secretary for foreign affairs to the prime minister. He also served for tw
 o years as the deputy head of mission at the British Embassy in Tehran.
