DESCRIPTION:Lunchtime talk:\n\nGrowth cone repulsion is an important mecha
nism controlling the development of neurons in the brain. Following injury
to the brain\, it may also prevent proper repair\, leading to serious pro
blems in the patient. Prof Keynes' research is concerned with understandin
g the mechanism of growth cone repair and trying to control it to try and
improve regeneration in patients with brain trauma.
