DESCRIPTION:This project seeks to identify MYB transcription factors invol
 ved in air chamber development in Marchantia polymorpha (Marchantia). Iden
 tification of these genes will enable the study of the gene-regulatory net
 works that initiate morphogenetic processes such as air pore and air chamb
 er formation and allow rewiring of these processes in detail. I will talk 
 recent advances of my project\, including strategies for mapping myb gene 
 expression and implementation of Cas9/CRISPR genome editing in Marchantia.
