DESCRIPTION:For many projects\, accessibility issues are encountered durin
 g an audit of an already designed and implemented product. Some issues can
  be fixed with code tweaks\, but others require the digital equivalent of 
 ripping out walls and starting over. In this workshop we will step through
  an accessibility audit and identify issues that can be resolved via code 
 and which require renovation. Then we will use design thinking to brainsto
 rm and prototype different design approaches to resolve accessibility issu
 es and produce accessible and enjoyable user experiences.\n \nAbout Sarah\
 nSarah Horton has over 20 years experience in interaction and user experie
 nce design. As Director of Accessible User Experience and Design for the P
 aciello Group (TPG)\, she works with companies and organizations to improv
 e accessibility and accessible user experience in digital products and ser
 vices. She is co-author of A Web for Everyone with Whitney Quesenbery and 
 Web Style Guide with Patrick Lynch.\n \nAbout David\nDavid Sloan joined Th
 e Paciello Group in 2013\, as a User Experience Engineer\, after almost 14
  years as a researcher\, teacher and consultant in accessibility and inclu
 sive design at the University of Dundee in Scotland. He focuses on providi
 ng pragmatic\, practical advice to help organisations produce digital expe
 riences that are as accessible and positive as possible to all users\, reg
 ardless of disability. He established the University of Dundee’s Web Acc
 essibility Support Service in 2006\, and specialises in making online lear
 ning experiences more accessible to learners with disabilities.
