DESCRIPTION:Animals reduce uncertainty by acquiring information from perso
 nal experience and by observing others. My research goal is to determine h
 ow variation in use of these information sources influences others in thei
 r ecological communities.  I'll talk about recent (and some very recent) w
 ork looking at the importance of social information for evolutionary arms 
 races between brood parasites and their hosts\, and predators and their pr
 ey.
