 uskin)\n\nLaura Cull will talk about the idea of 'performance as philosoph
 y' - which will resonate with her emphasis on thinking through/with perfor
 mance. The emphasis will be on the powers of the arts to philosophize thro
 ugh their own media in ways that have the potential to reopen the very que
 stion of what counts as philosophical thought.\nEirini Kartskaki will shar
 e\, No Pillow Talk. A disguised performance lecture which explores the res
 tlessly domestic and pathologically inauthentic aspects of daily life: a r
 ant about boyfriends who fall asleep before the sun goes down.\n\nBiograph
 ies\n\nLaura Cull is Senior Lecturer in Theatre Studies and Director of Po
 stgraduate Research for the School of Arts at the University of Surrey\, U
 K. She is author of the book\, 'Theatres of Immanence: Deleuze and the Eth
 ics of Performance' (Palgrave\, 2012)\, editor of 'Deleuze and Performance
 ' (Edinburgh University Press\, 2009) and co-editor with Will Daddario of 
 'Manifesto Now! Instructions for Performance\, Philosophy\, Politics' (Int
 ellect\, 2013). Laura is a founding core convener of the professional asso
 ciation Performance Philosophy and a co-editor of the Performance Philosop
 hy book series for Palgrave Macmillan.\n\nEirini Kartsaki writes and perfo
 rms. She has presented her work nationally and internationally (V&A\, Arno
 lfini\, Whitechapel Gallery\, Camden People’s Theatre\, East End Collabo
 rations\, The Place\, Biennale d'Art Contemporain de Lyon\, etc.) and has 
 published in journals Activate\, PerformArt and Choreographic Practices. S
 he is currently working on her monograph Repetition in Performance\, which
  will be published in 2016 by Palgrave. Eirini is currently a Senior Lectu
