DESCRIPTION:The transcriptional regulatory system plays a central role in
directing gene expression changes in response to internal and external sti
muli. In this talk\, first I wll present our work on transcription regulat
ion in yeast\, ranging from large-scale experimental studies to computatio
nal analyses of regulatory networks. I will introduce results from ChIP-ch
ip experiments that identify genome-wide DNA-binding sites of transcriptio
n factors\, particularly focusing on the cell cycle regulatory system. I w
ill discuss how these observations fit in to an idea of a genomic regulato
ry network\, and examine the effects of such networks on gene expression.
Later\, I will introduce preliminary results of our analysis of the transc
riptional\nregulatory system in the human genome.\n\n\nVaquerizas JM\, Kum
