DESCRIPTION:Byte Night is Action for Children's national sleep-out event. 
 Each year thousands of individuals from the technology sector give up thei
 r beds for one night to help change young people's lives.\n\nIt all began 
 17 years ago when 30 individuals from the IT industry slept out and raised
  £35\,000. Since then Byte Night has grown to over 1400 sleepers and we a
 re now the biggest charity sleep-out in the UK\, raising over £1 million 
 in 2013.\n\nOn Friday 3 October 2014\, Byte Night will be in 8 locations a
 cross the UK with sleeper teams from companies such as RBS\, Dell\, Citrix
 \, EY\, Microsoft and KPMG. \n\nThis presentation will explain what Byte N
 ight is and who it helps\, and demonstrate how Microsoft Research in Cambr
 idge become involved by providing an employer perspective from MathWorks.
