DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome Barry Naisbitt\, Chief Economist a
 t Santander UK\, to give our October Business Lecture to Cambridge Network
  members.\n\nAbout Barry Naisbitt\n\nBarry Naisbitt has been Chief Economi
 st at Santander UK – and formerly Abbey – since 1998.  Barry joined Ab
 bey National in 1994 and has worked through a period of significant change
  in the UK and global economies and also in the banking industry.\n\nPrior
  to joining\, he had worked as Principal Economist in HSBC’s Business Ec
 onomics Unit\, as an Economic Adviser at both HM Treasury and the National
  Economic Development Office (NEDO) and as a lecturer in economics at Live
 rpool University.\n\nHis main area of focus is analysing the performance o
 f the UK economy\, with a particular interest in the housing and savings m
 arkets and households’ and companies’ finances.\n\n \n\nMore details t
