DESCRIPTION:Electrical interfaces between technical system and the biologi
 cal system differs with respect to material and shape depending on their i
 ntended application. This talk will focus on different electrode designs a
 nd there applications. Designs for peripheral as well as for central nervo
 us system will be compared. As on example the Cyberhand approach will be d
 escribed in detail. Additionally to the designs and applications the produ
 ction processes and testing methods of neural implant will be explained. E
 xamples are micro-fabrication\, assembling\, encapsulation and implantatio
