DESCRIPTION:For the past 40 years computer scientists and engineers have b
een building technology that has allowed niche machine vision from factori
es to Mars rovers. Until now the availability of computational power has l
imited the application of these technologies to niches with a strong enoug
h need to overcome the cost and power hurdles\n\nThis is changing rapidly
and the computational means have now become available to bring computer vi
sion to mass market applications in mobile phones\, tablets\, drones and r
obots enabling brand new user-experiences within the cost\, power and volu
metric constraints of mobile platforms.\n\nMovidius is focused on bring hu
man vision and scene understanding to mobile devices rather than exclusive
ly in the cloud allowing low power always-on vision capabilities in device
s with the very low latencies required for interactive services\, self-dri
ving cars and robots etc.\n\nMovidius is enabling a swathe of new computer
vision applications to be brought to the mass market for the very first t
ime in embedded devices such as mobile phones\, tablets and cameras. And t
he first generation of our Myriad VPU powers the computer vision subsystem
in Google’s Project Tango where we handle all of the high performance I
SP\, feature tracking and tracking tasks in 10x less power than any other
solutions available on the market today\n\nhttp://www.extremetech.com/extr

 oject tango does\n\nhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_qa1ZDLJto\n\nA very
detailed technical presentation on our new 28nm Myriad2 product that recei
ved an enthusiastic welcomed at HotChips 2014 in Cupertino (CA) in August
