DESCRIPTION:Global Climate Models rely on parametrisation of convective cl
oud\nactivity and as the effect of clouds is the single most uncertain\nco
ntribution to current climate change predictions\, there is an urgent\nnee
d to improve models of convection. Contemporary models for convection\npar
ameterisation rely on a description of convective clouds developed\nfrom w
ater-tank experiments\, which may not be the most applicable study\ntool.
By using high-resolution (10m) modelling of individual convective\nclouds
these traditional models are being examined so that improvements\nmay be m
 ade.
