DESCRIPTION: Although the phase diagram of bulk superfluid 3He is well kno
wn\, novel\nsuperfluid phases are expected under conditions of spatial con
finement. In\nthis talk I will discuss a couple of experiments designed to
investigate the\nphysics of this system. The confinement geometry\, in th
is case\, is that of a\nflat slab. Following the rationale behind this res
earch and a - somewhat mild -\ntheoretical introduction to the physics of
 superfluid 3He in general\, and\nconfined superfluid 3He in particular\, I
will show some aspects of the\nexperimental research. One of the experime
nts to be discussed will be a\nNuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) experiment
\, which explores the magnetic\nproperties of superfluid 3He. The other ex
periment\, a torsional oscillator\,\nis concerned with the flow properties
of the superfluid. I will discuss both\nof them in as much detail as poss
ible within my time allocation.\n\n... And\, yes\, there will be (a few) r
esults\; hence the word facts in the\ntitle.\n
