DESCRIPTION:The analysis and classification of gaugings of supergravity th
 eories is a crucial task required to differentiate models with distinct ph
 ysical properties and construct new solutions of interest for flux compact
 ifications and holography. I will discuss general methods to classify solu
 tions and gaugings of D=4 supergravity theories\, rigorously identifying t
 heir duality orbits and their deformations. I will make contact with the `
 omega deformation' of SO(8) gauged maximal supergravity as well as with se
 veral other models of physical interest.
