DESCRIPTION:Episodic memory is a complex process that is a property of a n
etwork\, rather than individual brain regions. To uncover the function of
a network we need to combine techniques that target individual regions or
neurochemicals with whole-brain techniques. I will discuss the role of the
cholinergic system in episodic memory and plasticity\, and work combining
lesion studies with MRI to probe changes to the episodic memory circuitry
and how they relate to behaviour.\n
