xperimental\, analytical and computational approach - Neil Hamilton\, SMF

DESCRIPTION:A study of the adhesive properties of explosive fillers and po
lymer binders that form polymer bonded explosives (PBXs) using contact exp
eriments on idealised geometry with atomic force microscope (AFM) and John
son-Kendall-Roberts (JKR) experiments. Interpretation using both analytica
l theories and finite-element modelling is being applied to the experiment
al results to extract the adhesive parameters of the materials.
