 and international implications of events in today's Ukraine and features t
 he foremost experts in the fields of Ukrainian politics\, history\, and so
 ciety. It is organised by Cambridge Ukrainian Studies\, an academic centre
  in the Department of Slavonic Studies\, University of Cambridge. \n\nThe 
 Fourteenth Annual Stasiuk Lecture\, which will be held on Friday\, 26 Febr
 uary 2016\, will be delivered by journalist *Nataliya Gumenyuk*\, Director
  of the Hromadske Network. The title of her presentation is *_'Media in a 
 Time of Revolution and Information Warfare: Lessons from the Ukrainain-Rus
 sian Conflict'_*.\n\nNataliya Gumenyuk is an international prize-winning j
 ournalist and co-founder of "Hromadske TV":http://www.hromadske.tv/\, an i
 ndependent online media outlet that is invigorating Ukrainian journalism a
 nd public-interest journalism in Europe today. Hromadske was launched in 2
 013 when the most dramatic and tumultous events in Ukraine's recent histor
 y began to engulf the country. Free of ties to Ukrainian business or the U
 krainian government\, Hromadske's candid and uncompromising on-the-ground 
 reporting in Ukrainian\, Russian and English during the Maidan Revolution\
 , the Crimean Annexation and the ongoing undeclared Ukrainian-Russian War 
 has made it required viewing for Ukrainians and Ukraine-watchers around th
 e world.\n\nNataliya Gumenyuk is a graduate of the Institute of Journalism
 \, Kyiv State Taras Shevchenko University. Her work as former Head of Inte
 rnational News at INTER during the Russian-Georgian War led to an Emmy nom
 ination from the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. As
  an international journalist she has covered events in over 50 countries. 
 From 2011 she covered the events of the Arab Spring for various Ukrainian 
 and world media outlets. Her experiences in the midst of revolution and up
 rising formed the basis of her 2015 book Maidan Tahrir: In Search of a Los
 t Revolution.
