DESCRIPTION: Drops \, films\, bubbles and foams have been extensively in
vestigated in all branches of science and mathematics\, and provided inspi
ration and wonder to all. \n\nThe common phenomena associated with these l
iquid states permeate every area of physics \, from the liquid drop model
of fission to the bubble foam model of the distribution of galaxies in th
e universe. Physicists study bubble memories\, cavitation\, food and drin
k\, clouds ...etc where these phenomena are present.\n\nThis lecture will
examine some of the macroscopic vibrational properties\, extremum results
and optical interference phenomena associated with soap films and bubbles.
