DESCRIPTION:Kenneth Rockwood\, staff physician\, Department of Medicine\, 
 QEII Health Sciences Centre\, Halifax\, is the founder\, president\, and C
 hief Scientific Officer for DementiaGuide Inc.\, a web-based company.\nDr.
  Rockwood has practiced medicine for nearly 25 years. He has a degree in m
 edicine from Memorial University in St. John’s\, Newfoundland and he hol
 ds a Special Certificate in Internal Medicine. Dr. Rockwood is a fellow of
  the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and he holds a Certificate of S
 pecial Competence in Geriatric Medicine from the Royal College of Physicia
 ns of Canada\, as well as a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from Dalhousie U
 niversity. Dr. Rockwood is a senior researcher acting as a key collaborato
 r and researcher lead on numerous studies in geriatric medicine. In additi
 on to being a specialist in internal medicine and geriatric medicine\, he 
 also holds a Masters in Public Administration from Queen’s University\, 
 Ontario\, and has formally provided policy advice at both the provincial a
 nd federal levels. He has published more than 200 scientific papers and si
 x books and has received numerous awards for research\, longstanding inter
 est in clinical and epidemiological aspects of frailty\, delirium\, and de
 mentia.\n\n
