DESCRIPTION:\nHow do you manage your research data? Should you do it diff
erently?\n\nPerhaps your research is going well\, your industrial partner
is \ndelighted with the results – they will have a great competitive \na
dvantage. But the Research Councils want you to make the data widely \nav
ailable for others. Maybe your industrial partner isn’t so happy \nnow?
\n\nMaybe you are working with partner academics but who decides how the \
nresearch data is managed and disseminated? When can it be shared with \n
academic groups outside the partnership? And how is it being managed \nby
other academic groups inside the partnership? And our American \ncousins
?\n\nDan Crane\, Research Support Librarian in the Engineering Department
\nwill discuss good practice in managing data\, provide some pragmatic \nt
ips for how to do it most easily and effectively and provide a case \nstud
 y to bring it all to life.\n\nFRIDAY 18TH MARCH\n\nLECTURE ROOM 3\, ENGINE
