DESCRIPTION:Planets orbiting around two stars - circumbinary planets - are
beautiful tools in astrophysics. They shed light on planetary and stellar
formation processes\, showcase rapid orbital dynamics and provide a pathw
ay to the characterisation of temperate atmospheres. I will show this by a
nalysing the observational trends seen to date and what we can (or cannot)
deduce from them. In particular\, I will propose an argument to explain w
hy no circumbinary planets have been found orbiting around the tightest bi
naries (binary period < 7 days).
