DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will report on recent results for the many-bo
dy physics of dipolar gases obtained in our group using quantum Monte Carl
o (QMC) methods. Quantum gases with dipolar interaction allows for the stu
dy of the influence of anisotropy at a fully quantum level. I will show as
this anisotropy induces the formation of a stripe phase in a system of ti
lted dipoles in a plane. Using QMC we have been able to determine the phas
e diagram of planar tilted dipoles as a function of both density and polar
ization angle\, showing the stability limits of the new quantum stripe pha
se. Results for the one-body density matrix and superfluid fraction of the
system show that the stripe phase is superfluid in the limit of zero temp
erature and thus this system could be an example of the superstripe phase\
, term introduced in the physics of superconductors.
