DESCRIPTION:In this talk we consider\, both theoretically and numerically\
, a nonlinear\ndrift-diffusion equation describing a gas of fermions in th
e\nzero-temperature limit. The equation is defined in a bounded domain who
se\nboundary is divided into an "insulating" part\, where homogeneous Neum
 ann\nconditions are imposed\, and a "contact" part\, where nonhomogeneous\
nDirichlet data are assigned. The existence of stationary solutions for a\
nsuitable class of Dirichlet data is proven by assuming a simple domain\nc
 onfiguration. The long-time behavior of the time-dependent solution\, for\
nmore complex domain configurations\, is investigated by means of numerica
 l\nexperiments.\n
