DESCRIPTION:Join us and learn more about Climate Change and its effects on
  society with our guest speaker: Deborah Pardo\, a 30 year old French post
 -doc at the British Antarctic Survey. She studies how climate change and i
 ntensive fisherie drive the catastrophic declines of albatross populations
  in Antarctica. She recently became a mum and is also now an ambassador fo
 r the cause of working women. She is the only French and one of the three 
 UK women scientists to have been selected for an incredible all-women inte
 rnational expedition to Antarctica in December 2016 to receive a state-of 
 the art leadership training and become the leaders and role-models of tomo
 rrow.\n\nDeborah Pardo will give a talk about the Women and the Climate. T
 he World is changing because of human action and women are in the forefron
 t. During this evening we will discuss the position of women according the
  environmental challenges in both developing and developed countries.  Wha
 t makes them particularly vulnerable and what makes them our best chance t
 o save the planet at the same time.\n\nThe talk will be in English but you
  are welcome to ask questions in French as well.\n\nThe evening will be in
 troduced by a photography exhibition named “Climate – State of Emergen
 cy”\n\nAll profits will go the the joint crowdfunding page of the Homewa
 rd Bound UK team that includes  Deborah and  two other UK women scientists
