DESCRIPTION:This month's SciBar talks will be given by experts in the fiel
 d of developmental and regenerative medicine. \n\nShaping up: How organs f
 orm\n\nFrom our heart to our skin\, organs accomplish all the tasks that k
 eep us alive. But how did they come into shape? Max Perutz award nominee\,
  Dr Clara Sidor\, from the Laboratory of Molecular Biology will talk about
  how her research aims to solve this mystery using fruit flies.\n\n \nStem
  cell therapy\n\nStem cells hold unprecedented promises for the developmen
 t of new therapies against a large number of disease. While the first pati
 ents are benefiting from this medical revolution\, several challenges rema
 in to be addressed before transferring more broadly stem cells from the la
 b to the clinic. Professor Ludovic Vallier from the Cambridge Stem Cell In
 stitute will discuss the advances and challenges associated with the use o
 f stem cells in regenerative medicine.
