DESCRIPTION:Recent years have shown big achievements in the field of scann
ing helium atom microscopy (SHeM) enabling the development of a new type o
f matter wave microscopes which utilize neutral atoms as a probe beam.\nAt
UIB we have developed the neutral helium beam microscope NEMI\, which wit
h its focused neutral helium beam is unique in this field.\nIn this semina
r I will introduce you to the concept of neutral helium beam microscopy\,
its advantages and possibilities as well as the NEMI design itself.
