 ence\, Professor Gallop considers how forensic science has changed and the
  impact this has had on the application of statistical approaches and avai
 lability of data to underpin them. She uses two complex cases to illustrat
 e some important points\, and concludes by considering some immediate issu
 es which need to be tackled to avoid a new tranche of forensic science rel
 ated miscarriages of justice in the future.
