DESCRIPTION:Abstract: The pace of information accrual in modern biology no
w exceeds our ability to test hypotheses effectively in representative exp
erimental models. Similarly\, in silico models remain highly under-determi
ned. We will argue that new scalable approaches to empiric physiologic exp
erimentation are required\, demonstrate the utility of one highly scalable
model\, the zebrafish\, D. rerio\, and outline potential community strate
gies for the physiological sciences to move toward generalizable inference
 s.
