DESCRIPTION:I will review different classes of effective field theories th
 at have emerged recently and that may play significant roles for cosmology
 \, be it for inflation\, for bouncing cosmologies\, or for dark energy. Th
 ey come with a set of observational features which could distinguish them 
 in future surveys. To establish their theoretical consistency\, I will inv
 estigate whether perturbative unitarity is preserved and whether they coul
 d ever enjoy a standard analytic UV completion.
