 ge.*\n\nThis new interdisciplinary seminar series run by Cambridge UCU bri
 ngs together researchers\, practitioners and policy-makers to understand a
 nd respond to the challenges facing trade unionism in the UK and beyond. I
 t explores the history\, theory and current practice of the trade union mo
 vement\, which despite prophesies of doom and decline\, remains a hugely i
 mportant part of the modern world\, embedded in the working of states and 
 economies\, continuously rediscovered as a solution to problems of inequal
 ity\, economic security\, and collective political organization.\n\nEach s
 ession involves speaker presentations and time for open discussion. There 
 will be a trip to the Anchor pub round the corner afterwards.
