DESCRIPTION:The research at the Whittle Laboratory is generally focused on
  the fundamental fluid mechanics relevant to a wide range of turbomachiner
 y applications\, including aero engines\, power generation\, and household
  electric pumps. The work done here is both experimental and computational
  (i.e. development of methods and using computational fluid dynamics) and 
 is driven by strong links with industry. This talk will give an overview o
 f some of the on-going research and collaborations at the Whittle Laborato
 ry.\n
