DESCRIPTION:Chronic respiratory diseases affect hundreds of millions of pe
ople of all ages\, are a major cause of global morbidity and mortality\, a
nd strongly predict the overall health and well-being\, particularly in ol
d-aged patients. It is now widely recognized that ageing is largely determ
ined throughout the life course\, including the pre-birth period. Asthma a
nd allergic rhinitis often occur in children\, can persist throughout life
\, and should be tackled early. Studying the biological markers is of grea
t interest to better understand the pathophysiological mechanisms of these
diseases\, and could improve their diagnosis\, their treatment and their
 prevention.
