 =5939AD7E!\n\nFancy getting paid to travel? Sounds like the dream job. Gui
 debook writing is often seen as a glamorous profession\, with writers gall
 ivanting around the globe visiting major sights\, writing about local cuis
 ine and reviewing the odd dune buggy ride. But guidebook writing has its c
 hallenges. At our March 11th event\, a panel of three travel guide writers
 /editors will bring us to the world of travel and guidebook writing\, shed
 ding light on what it’s really all about.\n\n*Speakers*\n\nKiki Deere be
 gan her travel-writing career shortly after graduating in French and Spani
 sh from Trinity College\, Cambridge. Her first guidebook assignment involv
 ed travelling in southern Guatemala to research The Rough Guide to Central
  America on a Budget\; she has since worked on dozens of travel titles inc
 luding The Rough Guide to Italy and The Rough Guide to the Philippines. Sh
 e also writes for a number of print and online publications from UK nation
 als to inflight magazines.\n\nLottie Gross is the web editor at Rough Guid
 es. After some interning at travel publishing houses she got her first fre
 elance travel writing commission while still studying. Shortly before grad
 uating in Multimedia Journalism at Bournemouth she started at Rough Guides
  as the online editorial assistant and has since worked her way up the ran
 ks. She still freelances for a variety of publications and recently contri
 buted to her first guidebook: The Rough Guide to Europe on a Budget.\n\nRe
 becca Hallett studied Japanese at King's\, graduating in 2013 and going st
 raight into the Christopher Davis Editorial Internship at Dorling Kindersl
 ey. She worked in the travel section – which is comprised of both DK Eye
 witness Guides and Rough Guides – for three months\, before becoming Rou
 gh Guides' Editorial Assistant\, a role which she continued until being pr
 omoted to Travel Editor a year later. Now she works as an editor on a list
  of UK\, Caribbean and Central and South American titles\, and writes on a
