DESCRIPTION:In this talk I seek to defend an epistemology that does not co
 nfine \nitself to the knowledge of propositions.  In the first section I w
 ill \ntry to motivate this move.  The second section will discuss further 
 how \nknowledge may be understood to reside in actions\, and advance a not
 ion \nof pragmatist coherence as the relationship between activities that 
 we \nshould seek.  The third and final section will discuss the implicatio
 ns \nof the notion of coherence\, including how it can serve as the core o
 f \nnew notions of truth and reality in the pragmatist tradition.
