DESCRIPTION:Majorana fermions are exotic quasiparticles predicted to emerg
 e in certain superconducting devices and to display topological features r
 elated to fault-tolerant schemes for quantum computation. In this seminar\
 , after an introduction to Majorana fermions and a glance at some of their
  recently experimentally confirmed signatures\, I shall discuss how Majora
 nas can lead to strong correlation phenomena and associated transport char
 acteristics that may allow one to probe their\, yet untested\, non-local q
 uantum dynamics\, a key feature behind potential Majorana based topologica
 l qubits.\n
