 r Event hosting Prof Sir Richard Jolly\, former Assistant Secretary Genera
 l of the UN and former UNA-UK Chair. With his vast experience and expertis
 e\, he will share his insights on the UN and the impact it has made\, with
  further discussion on the global water crisis.\n\nAccess to water is a ba
 sic human need and a fundamental human right without which everything else
  fades into insignificance. The roots of the crisis in water can be traced
  to poverty\, inequality and unequal power relationships\, as well as flaw
 ed water management policies that exacerbate scarcity. From the effects of
  climate change to the economics of water pricing and the politics of wate
 r management\, the global water crisis is a pressing concern relevant to e
 very individual.\n\nThe talk will be follwed by a Q&A session relating to 
 the talk\, the UN\, and career paths in the UN\n\nBrief Biography (Prof Si
