DESCRIPTION:Opened in October 2016\, the High Performance Hub for Informa
tics (HPHI) is funded by a MRC Clinical Research Infrastructure Award to p
rovide storage and processing facilities. It is part of the BioCloud initi
ative integrating medical and biological datasets with high performance co
mputing facilities. The HPHI equipment is hosted in the West Cambridge Dat
a Centre\, with offsite backup\, reducing energy usage and thus the Univer
sity’s carbon footprint. \n\nThe vast majority of neuroimaging data proc
essing still takes place on the BCNI. The BCNI computer system is not rece
iving any further investment and will\, eventually\, be decommissioned. Co
mputing for neuroimaging and the neurosciences is to be served by the High
Performance Hub for Informatics (HPHI). The Senior Staff of the Departmen
t of Psychiatry have decided to plan the migration of its data assets from
the BCNI to the HPHI\, taking advantage of the opportunity to implement D
ata Governance. \n\nIn this session I will cover what the HPHI is and how
it differs from existing resources\, and what plans we have in Department
of Psychiatry to help people migrate their datasets to the HPHI\, with ple
 nty of time for Q&A.
LOCATION:Seminar Room\, Herchel Smith Building\, Forvie Site.
