DESCRIPTION:In this contribution\, we will show the capabilities of Focuse
d Electron/Ion Beam Induced Deposition (FEBID/FIBID) for the growth of fer
romagnetic and superconducting nanostructures. First\, the FEBID technique
will be introduced and representative examples of the grown ferromagnetic
nanostructures [1] will be shown (see Figure 1)\, which include nanowires
for cantilever functionalization\, nano-spirals [2]\, nanowires with chan
ging radius [3]\, core-shell nanowires [4]\, nanospheres [5]\, etc. The ma
gnetic properties of these nanostructures will be addressed\, with emphasi
s in the characterization by Electron Holography [4]. Strategies to improv
e the ferromagnetic behavior will be shown [6]. Later\, the application of
FIBID technique\, using Ga-based and He-based microscopes\, for the growt
h of superconducting nanowires will be presented [7]. Emphasis will be put
on the correlation between the superconducting properties and the microst
ructure\, investigated by TEM. Finally\, the mechanical properties of susp
ended nanowires grown by these techniques\, studied by three-point-contact
  AFM technique\, will be presented [8].\n\n[1] J. M. De Teresa et al.\, J.
