DESCRIPTION:In this talk\, I will introduce a new directional regularizati
 on based on the total generalized variation (TGV)\, which is very useful f
 or applications with strong directional information. I will show that it h
 as the same essential properties as TGV. With automatic direction estimato
 rs\, we demonstrate the improvement of using directional TGV compared to s
 tandard TGV. Numerical simulations are carried out for image restoration a
 nd &nbsp\;computed tomography reconstruction.
