DESCRIPTION:Part of the CMIH short course on Image Reconstruction in Biome
 dical Imaging\n\nAbstract: The course will provide an introduction to stat
 e-of-the art methods for image reconstruction in biomedical imaging and it
 s applications\, with an outlook to challenging problems in current resear
 ch. The series will start with an introductory part providing an overview 
 of different image modalities and the mathematical formulation of the corr
 esponding image reconstruction problems\, before proceeding to a discussio
 n of variational regularization methods.\n\nIn the second half of the cour
 se we will discuss modern high-dimensional problems related to dynamic and
  spectral imaging. Particular focus will be put on motion correction techn
 iques and their use. Finally we will give a perspective on multimodality i
 maging.
