DESCRIPTION:For centuries\, astronomers have developed various apparatus t
 o look at the sky. Dr Ian Parry focuses his research on developing more po
 werful observation techniques\, including unfolding space telescopes that 
 can be packed up before launch to reduce cost and later unfold in space to
  become a big telescope. Dr Ian Parry’s other research topics include sp
 ectrographs for various telescopes\, both on Earth and in space.
