DESCRIPTION:Dr Madeline Lancaster is a leading a group in the Cell Biology
  Division of the Medical Research Council (MRC) Laboratory of Molecular Bi
 ology. She completed her PhD at the University of California in 2010. Her 
 research focuses on the study of human brain development\, which can be mo
 delled in a dish through an in-vitro model called “cerebral organoids”
 . Her talk will be focusing on these self-organising tissues which develop
  from human pluripotent stem cells. They can model many key aspects of ear
 ly human brain development and a variety of neurodevelopmental disorders.\
