DESCRIPTION:Professor Jonathan Clayden is Professor of Organic Chemistry a
t the University of Bristol. He obtained his PhD at the University of Camb
ridge in 1992 and is the author of many reputable textbooks\, most notably
the famous “Organic Chemistry”. From 2005 to 2011 he was editor-in-ch
ief of the Open Access Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry. As a resear
cher\, Professor Clayden is particularly interested in molecular shape and
conformation\, and how this can influence chemical reactivity. He will be
speaking on his research and how molecular shape matters in the outcome o
 f chemical reactions. \n\nMembers: Free | Non-members: £3
