The Friends of the Sedgwick Museum support and encourage the development of the Museum, and promote and publicise geology to a wider audience. The termly talks programme features talks by members of the Department of Earth Sciences and other departments in the University of Cambridge.

Talks usually take place on the third Tuesday of the month in termtime in the Department of Earth Sciences, starting at 7pm (doors open 6.30 with the opportunity for tea and chat). Talks are also available online.

For more information about membership of the Friends: Friends of the Sedgwick Museum | Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences

If you enjoy the Friends talks, we invite you to support them by making a small voluntary donation for each talk by direct bank transfer using the bank details below. After discussion, the Committee suggests the following amounts - £4 per talk, £10 per term or £25 per year. Ultimately, all monies donated go to the Museum.
