Abstract
Nuclear fusion is the process that powers the stars and, if successfully harnessed, has the potential to become a clean and abundant power source for humanity. In the past few years there have been some significant scientific achievements in nuclear fusion research, as well as sizable new private and public investment in fusion. This talk will present the technical challenges in delivering fusion power and the current activities around the world in addressing them.
Series This talk is part of the Physics and Chemistry of Solids Group series.
